GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

DON’T DESPISE PROPHECY

(1 Thessalonians 5:20) Do not despise prophecies.

There are Christians who do not want to hear the words “prophecy, prophesied, prophesying, and prophesy”, but the Holy Ghost through Apostle Paul is telling us to stop despising prophecies.

To prophesy means to speak by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. You may do it through normal conversations, writings, songs, hymns, psalms, or even prayers. See, Bible says, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). To try to fight prophecies is to try to fight the Holy Ghost. And if you try to fight the Holy Ghost, you will be disgraced. So don’t despise prophecies. Love prophecies. Always get yourself filled with the Holy Ghost by speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submitting to the brethren in the fear of God (Ephesians 5:19-21). As you do these, the words that will come out from you will be prophecies. Do this today and prophesy or speak over your marriage, children, job, academics, future, health, finance, ministry, and projects. Halleluyah!

Confession: I am aware prophecies preceded the coming of Jesus Christ. In His days, He also prophesied. Since I am like Him, I will also prophesy. I prophesy that I am seeing excellence in my marriage, children, job, academics, future, health, finance, ministry, and projects. Halleluyah!

Say this if you have never been born again. I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
