GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

28/07/2021

ASK IN HIS NAME

(John 14:13-14) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

According to our theme scripture, Jesus is saying if you will dare ask (call for, crave, desire, require or beg for) anything in His name, He will do it. He never said He will try or think about it. He said He will do it. Period. He can talk this way because of what His name carries. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus told us to baptize all who would believe in Him in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. This means the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost has a name they can identify with.

Reading Acts 19:1-5, we can conclude that this name is Jesus.

In Acts 19:5, Paul baptized the followers of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. This clearly shows that whatever the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost can do has been vested in the name of Jesus. So, the name of Jesus is like a consolidated account. This is the reason why He is asking you to ask what you want in His name. Go ahead and ask something in His name. Halleluyah!

Meditation: (John 14:13-14) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Activity: Ask whatever you need right now in His name

Confession: All power and authority is in His name. I receive any request I make in Jesus’ mighty name. The name of Jesus is the all-conquering name. The name of Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. Halleluyah!

If you have never been born again then make the confession below.

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
