GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL

20/12/2021

START PREPARING FOR THE NEW YEAR

(Luke 14:28) For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it

Luke 14:28 teaches us to plan and calculate things before we make moves. You can do this because the Holy Spirit-the Spirit of Wisdom is in you (Isaiah 11:2). The phrase “intending to build a tower” means “wanting to build a tower”, “desiring to build a tower”, and “having a mind to build a tower”. This is talking about your desires and wishes.

God’s Word says, plan for the things you want in your lif-. The tower could be likened to the improved life you want.

Ask yourself these important questions. What kind of life do I want in 2022? How am I going to get there? First, know exactly what you want to achieve in the coming year. Start with prayer then write them down or voice-record them. Then sit down and count the cost- some may demand you leave your high paying job now and pursue your vision in 2022, do an additional job to get you to where you are going, probably study for five or six hours on your own every day, pray two or more hours every day, etc. After identifying what you have to do, pray about them again every day and make adjustments as the Holy Spirit leads you.

If you do these, you will surely burst into untold success and riches as the years go by. Halleluyah!

Activity: Spend time in prayer and fellowship with the Spirit of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you plan your life for untold success and greatness today.

Confession: The Holy Spirit- the Spirit of Wisdom is functioning in me. I sit down and plan my life for greater success and glory. My God helps me to realize these goals. Halleluyah!

I declare from today that Jesus Christ is my Lord and I believe that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations

You can begin to attract God’s goodness into your life from today.
